Black And White Photography Or Colour

So Which One Do You Prefer Colour Or the Black And White Version

It is very rare that I will present a black and white photograph I’m obviously a person who sees colour rather than tones but I have begun to play around with grayscale in fact not long ago I took this picture http://johngarghanphotos.blogspot.com/2010/06/meeting-in-birmingham.html as you can see I like a hint of selective colour too.

I had a great chat with William Cheung www.williamcheung.co.uk who was discussing and demonstrating his work at Photo Image Birmingham in February, his work is mainly Black and White and I came away ready to do more grayscale, but it hasn’t happened.

So Which One Do You Prefer Colour Or Black And White

Having taken this photograph in colour I then process it in Photoshop not by changing the mode: with the menu sequence Image> Mode> Grayscale. But by changing the Hue and Saturation values from Zero to a negative setting

Bowen Treatment

After a bad car accident many years ago I have a weakness in my neck and back, roughly once a year I have to go and have everything lined up correct again, having tried all the treatments I have found Bowen treatment gives me the greatest benefit, http://www.thebowentechnique.com/content/research.htm Its painless ( quite relaxing in fact) and very successful and therefore cheap. While having my treatment I photographed the ceiling fan twirling round it almost looks like a religious symbol.
