| The world's largest commercial airliner came to Birmingham International Airport. The double-decker A380 super jumbo is capable of carrying up to 800 passengers and is claimed to be one of the most environmentally-friendly aircraft in the skies. The plane came in as a scheduled flight from Dubai. Emirates normally operates a smaller plane on the route, but agreed to replace it as part of a special day of events to celebrate the airport's 70th birthday. |
| My thanks to Darts commentator Sid Wardell for the headline, I thought if he can say that about darts I can about the worlds largest plane. It was an expensive photograph to take; the best viewing position is from the Long Stay car park it costs £1 to park there for an hour but so many people came to and photographed the plane there was a long jam to get out and it cost me £7. |
