| There’s a new art department building at Solihull College and this is the first year that its hosted the degree show, all I will say is I’m glad I did my degree in the old building this one looks nice(ish) but hardly fit for purpose. |

| It was power to the people: This is the local park land “Yardley Wood Recreation Grounds” affectionately known as The Rec. Severn Trent Water wanted to knock down trees so that they could build a road through The Rec even though there is a main road and access to the sewer they want to reach on the other side of the Rec. So the local community raised objections with success because this week Birmingham City Council rejected the application. Oddly even though I walk the park everyday with my dogs I knew nothing about the campaign or the intended road until one of the action group members told me today. I wanted a photograph of her on the site but she said no because it wasn’t her alone who stopped the road. |
