The rain came down and the temperature dropped, I kept walking round the cricket ground to keep warm but the conditions were not good for photographing cricket, so I nipped over to the bowling green next door. I have kept well away from this game as I know that when I’m too old to play cricket this or golf is the next option. I watched for a while fascinated by the photo moments that are there on the green with several games going on at the same time and balls and players zig zagging across somehow no one colliding although the balls did crash into one and other, and then the spectators following all these matches. I may well return. |

Driving towards Spitfire Island (so called because the famous World War II plane was built on the site I got caught by the lights and tried to take a photograph of the very impressive sculpture but my shutter jammed. It did free its self and my camera has been all right since. I would not feel hard done by if it didn’t work again in the 4 years since I bought it (5 now) I have used it every day and taken thousands of photographs. |
