| I found traces of a previous existence, driving through Quinton this morning I pulled up at the traffic lights and noticed the sign “Radio Times” painted on the roof of the pet shop, obviously this used to be the local newsagents and then I looked behind me and noticed (yet another) big Tesco supermarket which obviously killed off some of the shops in the row, its good see that all the shops are trading and have moved with the times. The Radio Times advert is nearly weathered away which probably gives an indication of its age possibly 70s and no later than early 80s |
| For the benefit of overseas readers Radio Times was a magazine that listed BBC radio and Television programmes, very popular in its day when the BBC monopolised broadcasting, I believe it is still in existence but now lists all the satellite TV channels as well. |
