| With the snow on the ground I featured the drawbridge over the canal in photograph number 11-365 year2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/johngarghan/4267638936/in/set-72157612024471302/ Today the contrast could not of been more as I took my little grandson to the bridge and just as we arrived this boat came round the bend. Now the bridge is operated with a key but years ago it was lifted by turning a handle and this would be a two man job, in those days there was no barriers that come down across the road nor traffic lights to warn on coming drivers |
