Late this evening I took my car to the garage so that they can make an early start on its MOT and during a long walk back I found many new photo subjects some to revisit during the daylight. I passed this row of Prefabs. The Pre Fabricated homes were built during a after World War 2 to fulfil a urgent need for homes, I presume after the bombing damage. Some of them were made from old aircraft scrape but most turned out to be more expensive to put up than ordinary houses. Across the country they have been demolished to make way for modern housing but I believe this will be staying. |
