My main art project deals with rust and scorch marks on burnt metal and I had noticed with interest the markings on a park bench since it was vandalised about 2 years ago, today it looked ready to photograph. I wondered why it had taken so long to become appealing, the fire had started a process of change on the metal surface and the weather has slowly worked away at it from then on. I’m fascinated by this type of picture because it leaves the imagination running wild finding all kinds of imagery there. |
