Funeral For A Friend

Funeral For A Friend

I went to a friends funeral today and while I have no plans to pop me clogs just yet (at least get me through the 365 2010) I have thought about my own funeral for some time. While I have my own Christian faith I don’t want anyone attending feeling out of place because they have to sing some hymn that they don’t know so I thought lets have some good popular music and tracks that have been important to me over my life, the choice is difficult: I want something like Jimi Hendrix “All Along The Watch Tower” (because of the intro) definitely Ramsey Lewis “Wade In The Water” (so everyone can tape their toes) and Monty Python “Always Look On The Bright Side” But please if I go before I have made up my mind don’t play the cliché Stairway To Heaven.

Funerals are a great occasion to catch up with friends from years ago and a perfect opportunity for some photos so every one must bring their cameras.
