| Today my cricket team played against Massey Ferguson CC. Next to the cricket ground and behind the football stand is the new housing developments were once the factory that made the tractors used to be. The large employers (mostly related to the car industry) in the Midlands used to provide top class sporting facilities and social clubs for the employees and they spent a great deal of money on equipment and ground staff. Now the factories are closed and in some cases the sports grounds continue run as a going concern by the clubs and their members. |
