General Election Day So I Cant Take A Photo - Photo a Day Project

Polling Station Sign

I worked as a Polling Clerk for the General Election vote, and inside the polling station you are not allowed to take photographs, it’s a long day from 6:30am to 10pm so I have a limited time frame to take a photo and to be honest I was too knackered to care, incidentally I took this photo at 10:05pm as we packed away.

It was a long day but very enjoyable we had lots of laughs generally at my expense, I met many old friends from my work in previous life’s and people who came in with a surprise on their faces seeing me at the desk, I also had a chance as I asked the voters their names to gather some Famous Strangers, sadly Hewey Lewis came in at a very busy time and I missed him.

I must mention Christopher Garghan who stood in the Birmingham Yardley constituency and didn’t finish last he is not the first member of my family to stand for parliament as my Great Grand Father (on my mother’s side) was an MP
