The car wasn’t in the best condition because I presume it had been there for some time and for the best close up results I need to get to them within the first 24 hours of the fire because by then the rust takes over. I try to avoid rust in my images because I want to work with the distress to the paint and bare metal which gives me texture, tones and colour. The bonnet is now in my garden ready to be worked on with acids blow torches and substances that produce happy accidental images.
