Almost 12 months ago I started getting strange random numbers when I looked at my bank account online, I thought it was me because when I investigated further it was correct. But then the downloaded statements were screwed up. And then began a series of communication problems with the bank as if they deny there is a fault, at one time they refused to give me an email to send screen grabs (because I could send them a virus) so into the branch I go and one of the staff after she said to me “What Do You Want The Bank To Do?” contacts online banking and is told that it’s a known fault and will be fixed in December or January. February I move bank and update the ombudsman telling him I have refused their offer of £50 for my troubles. I have been advised that a short term work around is to copy and paste the figures into a new spreadsheet and as if by magic Excel will correct everything.
