Melanie was an exhibitor at the Cake Show in Birmingham; she arrived from Germany 3 days before the show with plenty of time to assemble her creation, well that was the plan, in her box is the base of her exhibit, unfortunately the rest of the cake, her tools and ingredients were in her luggage and that was still in the air somewhere over Europe.
It was the day before the show when it finally arrived and it meant an all night session preparing the final exhibit. Despite her troubles Melanie managed to gain an award for her work.
