As I don’t live in Moseley I only work the market selling my prints if there is a spare stall available, I rather like this arrangement as I think if I was there every month I would be over exposing my work. As usual there was a mixture of my customers, new people interested in my car pictures and many passing artists to network with including my flickr contacts Brett Wilde http://www.flickr.com/photos/brettwilde/ ~aspidistra~ http://www.flickr.com/photos/aspidistra/with/4938674582/ Pete Ashton http://www.flickr.com/photos/peteashton/ and Fiona Payne from the Solihull Artists Forum http://solihullartists.co.uk/Artists/FionaPayne.htm So out comes the camera, minus the battery which is still in the charger at home, quick thinking I tried to use my new phone but I have never used the camera and email functionality before but necessity is the mother of invention. |

Jeremy is a classical musician and used to play with the City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and in the orchestra at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon. He is a compulsive artist always with his sketch book and pencil in hand and generally he wears a beret which adds to the scene. He told me he would always be sketching from the orchestra pit while there was a brake in the music; he captured all the musicians, soloists and great actors over many years. Can you imagine the content of his many sketch books? I have been talking to him about exhibiting this work and it would certainly make a very interesting Artist Talk as part of the show. |
