With very heavy showers for most of the week the prospect of cricket was not good and travelling to the ground I drove the 21 miles through a mixture of rain and bright sunshine and arrived there during a very ominous storm. Eventually the game restarted and because the season is now reaching a climax they played on through more rain to the end. All this to gain a draw, and with the draw came precious bonus points that could mean in a very tight 3 team race at the top of the table promotion at the end of the season |
