Over the Christmas period we traditionally have a get together of friends, we have a meal and a few drinks We decided to have another reunion during the summer when the weather is better and the public transport is not restricted by the holiday season, so here we are at the Black Eagle in Handsworth, as you can see there is a parking space for Pete’s mobile home. |
To get to the pub we went on the tram from Birmingham Snow Hill and the short journey from the tram station to the pub you pass a traditional school building I doubt if the separate entrance and segregated classes are enforced today |
After a long and enjoyable session the reunion came to a halt about 9:30pm and those returning to Birmingham headed (staggered) to the tram station still clicking away, a few of my shots are in focus. As we are heading home these girls are off to the city and their night is just beginning. By the way for some unknown reason I didn’t have a hangover |
At Snow Hill station we transfer from the tram to the main line train service home. |

This Time Last Year: |
For about 2 years I have been a follower of the blog “Retirement with No Problem” the internet diary of a couple who retired from the family business and live on a traveling narrow boat moving each day along the canals of England. Reading the blog on Thursday I saw they had passed through Birmingham, at one point about 400 yards from were I live and had moored at Lapworth. So I went down there with Sally my collie to find them, I walked miles along the tow path without success |
