I never knew the significance of the name of the road until I saw someone looking at the blue English Heritage sign and decided to investigate further it reads: “George Cadbury 1839 – 1922 Chocolate Manufacturer and Philanthropist lived here 1872 – 1881” It seems such a short amount of time from a significant life to have a road named after him there. I have no idea what the building is used for now, the light was on but there was no sign of life and some similar large houses in this part of Edgbaston are now used as offices. |
