| £120,000 will buy you a canal side cottage with a couple of acres of land, very nice, although it has a slight disadvantage in that the nearest road is about 250 yards away and that stretch of road is on a bend and would not be a safe place to park while you unload your shopping. If you do decide to put in a bid make it quick before the vandals reduce the package to just the land. There used to be a lady who lived there with her dog (the dog doesn’t get on with other dogs and would always bark when I walked along the canal towpath with my three) and she recently moved out so that British Waterways could sell up. But I couldn’t help wondering why they didn’t let her stay to look after the place. |

| It comes Complete with furry dice too When I was about 12 I wanted a Vauxhall Cresta car when I grew up. And seeing this model gave me a nostalgic look back to my final school days.I loved the shape, the then trendy colour schemes the leather interior and I think I can remember it had a column gear change. The biggest thrill I had was a lift home in a cream coloured Cresta from my Saturday part time job from a friend of the owner of the butchers shop I worked at. I can still feel that acceleration pushing me back into the huge seat and the owner said that it was too powerful in relation to the other components and therefore safety. I never did own or even go in another Cresta. |
