Art For Arts Sake

The conversation between myself and a few friends in the Bulls Head pub turned to my latest art project which is a large sculptor for the Solihull Live Brief Project. When one of my friends said “something like that”? All I will say at this stage is that it will be a million miles away from the art by formula that is found in chain pubs. I often wonder why pubs don’t display original artwork as this would be a very attractive proposition for artists to display their work and the pubs to change the scenery instead they go with the bland IKEA model that is also found down the road, a safe bet for the interior designers
