Every Wednesday the two brothers head into the city centre around 9:30 on the bus from Yardley Wood and take advantage of the concessions for pensioners at the cinema etc, today it was Sea World then they return home via the Horse Shoes pub on the Alcester Road, have a few pints there and take the scenic (and flattest) route home along the canal |
I first met Bert about 10 years ago, I would be on my way to the office as he walked down the shops to get his daily paper. Hobbled more like because he was on crutches. Then one day he was walking fast and like a youngster up the hill he had had a hip replacement less than a week previous it was a miraculous change round. |
