The End of the Game

It was a strange day today, I went to my cricket club and the first team won very easily, in fact far too easy and quickly so there weren’t any great photo opportunities. Then I realised that the 2nd team were playing away at one of the most picturesque grounds in Warwickshire I got to Lapworth for the final 20 minutes of that game.

Its been a crazy busy weekend so I’m posting both Saturdays photograph and Sundays together.

Derelict and Very Abandoned

Now derelict and very abandoned the Stirchley Baths in Birmingham are a Listed Building. The former swimming baths are protected from demolition and may not be extended or altered without special permission from the local planning authority. I’m fascinated by the decay, from the broken roof tiles and windows to the weeds growing between the bricks, mortar and roof guttering. The future looks bleak because to recondition the building back to its former glory would be extremely expensive.
